2. plywood for flooring
In engineered hardwood floors, the section of your flooring underneath the solid hardwood wear layer is made up of plywood. Because of this, your floor’s durability depends on this plywood. When you use multi-ply engineered flooring, there are more layers of plywood, which makes the floor stronger.
But it’s not only the fact that there is plywood that makes the floor strong: the type of plywood matters too. Premium plywood is the best plywood available due to its high levels of durability. At LECHEN, we learned long ago that it is worth investing in the best supplies for our engineered hardwood flooring, and we want to make sure your floors will last you a long time.
3. wear layer
Wear layer is that surface on the wood that can be re-sanded and refinished until it reaches the tongue and groove. What most people fail to realize is that a quality piece of engineered hardwood can be refinished as many times as solid hardwood. LECHEN’s engineered hardwood has as good of a wear layer as any quality solid hardwood. The wear layer comes in several different thicknesses.
4. UV Lacquer and UV Oil finish for flooring
You are the only one who can decide which finish is best for you. But LECHEN’s professional opinion is that UV lacquer finish is the superior choice. We recommend our customers use UV lacquer finish, but since we are capable of producing both UV lacquer and UV oil, we can accommodate our customers either way. Our goal is to provide custom wide plank engineered hardwood flooring that makes you smile every time you see it.

All of the flooring we produce for each order is processed as a batch at each station before being moved to the next, because each machine is calibrated to that customer’s specifications, and each plank is checked every step of the way to assure it meets those specifications.
